By plane

From Tegel Airport: 
Take the express bus X9 or bus 109 to the subway (U-Bahn) station Jakob-Kaiser-Platz. From there transfer to the subway line U7 going to Rudow and get off at Fehrbelliner Platz. 
Change to the subway line U3 going to Krumme Lanke and get off at Breitenbachplatz station. The MPIB is a 5-minute walk from Breitenbachplatz (see map).

From Schoenefeld Airport: 
Take the commuter train (S-Bahn) line S45 to Heidelberger Platz, from there change to the subway (U-Bahn) line U3 going to Krumme Lanke and get off at Breitenbachplatz

By train

From Berlin-Hauptbahnhof (main railway station): 
or the line S9 going to Spandau. Get off at the station Zoologischer Garten and change to the subway (U-Bahn) line U9 going to Rathaus Steglitz. At the subway station Spichernstrasse get 
off and change to the subway line U3 going to Krumme Lanke and get off at Breitenbachplatz station. The MPIB is a 5-minute walk from Breitenbachplatz (see map).
From Berlin-Südkreuz station:
Take the commuter train (S-Bahn) line S41 or S42 (the Circle Line in a clockwise direction) until Heidelberger Platz. From there change to the subway (U-Bahn) line U3 going to Krumme Lanke 
and get off at Breitenbachplatz station.Is a 5-minute walk from there to the MPIB (see map).
From Berlin-Spandau station:
